Applications can be lodged up to 6 months in advance of intended travel date.

Personal appearance at VFS Visa Application Center is required to register biometric fingerprints and live photograph (exemptions: applicants under 12 years, national long-term visa applicants).

If fingerprints were submitted for previous Schengen visa within last 59 months, resubmission not required but personal appearance recommended to verify.

Processing time: generally 15 working days, but may extend to 30 calendar days or exceptionally 60 calendar days if additional examination or documents required.

Two complete sets of all documents required for short-stay applications.

For Short-Term Schengen visa with VIS registration, 3 photographs required instead of 2.

Applicants can collect passport personally or opt for optional courier delivery (INR 760 for standard courier, INR 1236 for courier assurance).

Single VAC Visit service available: simultaneous submission of UK and Belgium visa applications at New Delhi VAC for INR 350 additional fee (UK standard visitors and Belgium short-stay visitors only).

New appointment slots released every 1st Monday of the month for upcoming month (East and North Zone).

Visa fee is non-refundable and subject to exchange rate fluctuations.

VFS Service Charge: INR 2700 per application (inclusive of GST).
