Indian passport holders must verify if India is on the approved list of countries eligible for the unified e-visa, as only citizens of certain countries approved by the Russian Government are eligible.

Application must be submitted between 86 days and 4 days before expected entry into Russia.

E-visa is valid for 120 days from issue date but permits stay of maximum 30 days from date of entry.

The e-visa is single entry only and valid only for entry/exit through designated state border crossing points (list approved by Russian Government).

No invitation letter, hotel booking confirmation, or travel purpose documentation is required.

E-visa permits entry for private/business visits, tourism, and participation in scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic, or sporting events.

Processing takes no more than 4 calendar days from submission; if corrections are required, applicant has 10 days to resubmit without additional payment.

A personal account must be created on the official website or mobile application to apply.

Upon approval, applicant must print or save the e-visa notification on a mobile device to present at border control and to the transport company when boarding.

Each minor child traveling with parents must have a separate e-visa application.

Day of arrival and day of departure both count as full days of stay (not 24-hour periods).
